Wind turbine condition monitoring system (CMS) hardware repair. Repair data acquisition units
Condition monitoring systems (CMS) form a vital part of any predictive maintenance strategy and are often the first indicator of failure on gearboxes and main bearings. The system typically comprises of sensors, communications interfaces and a data acquisiton kit which is typically plugged straight into the controller to stop the turbine should vibration or temperature alarm thresholds are passed.

Tips for repairing
Vibration by it’s nature is sensitive and whilst the accelerometers themselves do not lend themselves to repair. The CMS data acquisition unit does. Often inputs, memory cards and fans are to typically to blame for failures. With access to the right software versions and replacement components wind CMS repairs are a huge victory for refurbished componentry. You can save a lot of money as well as reusing electronic components containing rare earth metals.
We back our repairs
